A Review of March 2024

March 2024:

There's a few big pieces of news to share in the Chorley Auction House world. Firstly unfortunately Sarah has left the Chorley Auction House team but we all wish her the best in her future endeavours, all those who have worked with and met her will miss her as the positive force she is. Secondly, we had our biggest ever auction in March (18/03/24) with the best selling item in that auction being a 9ct Gold Double Albert Watch Chain with Hallmarked Birmingham 9ct Gold Fob, selling for £920. A big auction for us, but with all the hopes to have even bigger auctions in April and beyond. We're all back and refreshed from our holidays, looking to give it our all (until Summer that is).

Taylor and Sconce:

The Taylor and Sconce antiques and collectables sale is now live and the catalogue is online, make sure you check out all the fantastic items we have on offer there. Our new employee Amy has been working hard on her first week here to apply the finishing touches to the auction and catalogue. Great items including Lalique, plenty of Gold and Silver, and rare paintings. Be sure to check it out and place a bid, and remember you can always contact us to get more information about a particular item. Our team is always happy to help.

Imperial Auction Services:

Imperial is still going strong with it's weekly auctions, mostly focused on coins and banknotes but future auctions of stamps and first day covers are in the works so keep an eye out for that. Imperial keeps ticking along, making good consistent prices.

Packit&Go:

Packit&Go are running at full force, with Harry and Darren always whizzing around the place. They always seem to be busy, and with more focus going into marketing and improving the website they should get used to being even busier. Lots of plans in the works to make Packit&Go the local go-to house clearance service. And of course the moment you've all been waiting for Mark's epic poem;

Spring is here, flowers and trees blossom and bloom,

New vigour and expectation fills Chorley Auction Room.

Just as new leaves on trees begin to grow,

The staff here are now in full flow.

As new warmth envelops the land,

What could be better than a brew and our auction catalogue at hand.

Old, vintage, new, or items that squeak,

Jewellery, furniture, coins, collectables, and antique.

Quality items and bargains not to be missed,

Ready to cater for you, here to assist.

Many have said Mark is the voice of his generation, truly I find this an understatement. We're very lucky to have him as part of the Chorley Auction House team.
